Flourish is a workshop empowering individuals with a menstrual cycle to reconnect to their health and community
Problem Space
There are insufficient and sometimes misleading medical, systemic, and educational resources for people who experience periods. These challenges lead the monthly menstrual cycle to be treated as a non-vital body function. Often surrounded with stigmas, lacking care for the topic repeatedly leaves individuals with decreased health and disconnection from their own bodies.
Design Solution
A branded, recurring workshop for young adults that experience a period, Flourish introduces the various ways to “cycle sync” through nutrition, movement, and socialization changes. Fostering inclusive experiences of learning and communication about cycle syncing and the menstrual cycle, Flourish workshops aim to destigmatize menstruation and eliminate low health literacy. Ultimately, inspiring reconnection and understanding with one’s body.
