Problem Space
With tourism levels on the rise, millions of travelers flock to the same well-known destinations. This causes a increase in local prices and a demand for new infrastructure which often pushes out locals and compromises the environment. While many environmentally conscious travelers are interested in having more unique experiences, they do not know which locations will fulfill their interests in nature, culture, or cuisine.
Design Solution
Homage seeks to mitigate the overcrowding of popular destinations by raising interest for other culturally rich locations. It celebrates these places through the creation of unique perfumes inspired by local practices and cuisines. The perfume brand works directly with the farmers and artisans of these destinations to harvest their scent notes sustainably so that their environment can be protected and their economy can benefit.
