Problem Space
Having only grown up since the Internet has been adopted into daily use, Gen Z-ers and young Millennials lack awareness about the impact of net art––a form of digital art that uses web browsers, coding, and other online tools as a creative medium. This leads to the creative aspects of the Internet being buried and allows its commercialization to have a greater dominance.
Design Solution
Museum Dot Art is a web museum showcasing important net art pieces through interactive gallery rooms, paired with an educational wing where visitors can learn about net art history and principles. Through a fusion of computer elements with physical elements, the Museum Dot Art serves as a bridge between traditional museum environments and the sometimes convoluted net art pieces.
